Scenes from the Atlanta Zombie Run

The outside of Atlanta Motor Speedway was transformed this past weekend into a zombie apocalypse during the Atlanta location of the Zombie Run. An estimated 4,000 people participated in the event that consisted of humans dodging brain-eating zombies while running/walking around the speedway. Smoke machines went off as a helicopter hovered close to the ground along the race route in true apocalyptic form. The video-game like race featured human participants that were equipped with three balloons that signified their “life-span”. If the participants could make it through the 5k race with at least one of their balloons still attached to their waist, they survived the zombie attacks.
