First Slice 8/4/13: GWCCA, church offers in stadium deal differ by $14 million

All these negotiations are making everyone tense. Maybe we should just keep the Dome?
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority and Mount Vernon Baptist Church have a lot of negotiating to do should the church sell its land for the proposed Atlanta Falcons stadium. The state has proposed one figure, the church wants another. The gap between the two amounts: $14 million.

Now that negotiations with churches for their land have stalled, the team and state are looking to the so-called "north side" along Northside Drive, which the GWCCA already owns. Yet the Marietta Daily Journal is still beating the maybe-the-Falcons-could-move-to-Cobb-County drum.
