Behold, your official list of mayoral and city council candidates
Now the real fun begins as we approach the November ballot
The official qualifying period for Atlanta's municipal elections closed on Friday. Now, as we approach the November election, the real fun begins.
Candidates vying to become mayor, city councilmen and women, and board of education members were required to file paperwork and pay a qualifying fee last week. Councilmembers Michael Julian Bond, Kwanza Hall, Yolanda Adrean, and C.T. Martin will run unopposed.
As for everyone else? They've at least picked up one challenger, including Mayor Kasim Reed, who'll face off against three official opponents.
After the jump, we've included the full list below of candidates who completed the qualifying process. Incumbents are listed first, and links are included to past stories on the candidates we've written about in the past. In addition, here's a handy list with all their contact information.
