First Slice 12/16/13: Should Atlanta take on debt to fix sidewalks, bridges, and potholes?

Mayor Kasim Reed's long-discussed plan to ask voters to approve taking on as much as $250 million of debt to fill potholes, fix sidewalks, and repair crumbling bridges - and put a dent in the city's infrastructure backlog - kicks off... now.

While Griffin High School quarterback Jaquez Parks was helping his team win a state championship, a group of ne'er-do-wells broke into his parents' home and ransacked the house.
