Pedestrian struck and killed on Downtown Connector

Posted By on Wed, Jan 22, 2014 at 1:45 PM

A pedestrian was struck and killed early this afternoon along the Downtown Connector, state law enforcement officials say.

Very few details are available, a state Department of Public Safety spokesman says, but he can confirm the person who was struck and killed was walking in the southbound lane.

The spokesman told CL the pedestrian was near Freedom Parkway when he or she was struck. 11 Alive is reporting the Georgia Department of Transportation as saying that a person was hit by a limousine near Williams Street.

We've asked for clarification and will update when more info becomes available.
