Former Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Beverly Hall, who has been battling cancer for months, is now reportedly battling Stage IV cancer and has become "gravely ill." It's unclear whether she'll be healthy enough to stand trial for her major role in the 2009 APS cheating scandal. She was a no-show in court after being rushed to the hospital.

Georgia taxpayers will have to foot state Sen. Don Balfour's legal tab of $156,000. I suspect he wanted this to pave his way to the Governor's Mansion four years from now."
