Atlanta Hawks exec: Let's turn the 'Gulch' into a 'destination spot for our fans'

"We have this enormous, infamously called Gulch area right next to our arena. We've got to figure out how to make that a destination spot for our fans."

Atlanta Hawks Managing Partner Bruce Levenson wants to transform the "Gulch," a 120-acre assortment of parking lots and railways near Philips Arena, into something that benefits the NBA team's fans. What might that look like? Early ideas include a sports entertainment center, hotel, casino, or modern sports medicine complex. (via the Atlanta Business Chronicle)
