Sarah-Elizabeth Reed, the wife of Mayor Kasim Reed, gave birth to Maria Kristan Reed on Thursday. Congratulations to all involved. We hope everyone is healthy and happy. Yesterday, Reed told the city, "I'm not a parent." Way to slip that one in before the buzzer, Mr. Mayor!
Norcross officials are drafting a clever ordinance to circumvent many of the expensive inconveniences that the state's new "guns everywhere" law will create. The plan is sort of like the practice of adding "in bed" to whatever message your fortune cookie delivers but altered a touch for the wonk set.
