First Slice 7/16/14: Atlanta Streetcar delayed yet again

What's this? Another delay for the Atlanta Streetcar? The project won't be open to the public until November at the earliest, according to Atlanta Streetcar Director Tim Borchers.

Cobb County Commissioners have unanimously voted to rezone 74 acres near the Braves stadium that's expected to allow an adjacent $400 million "entertainment complex" to be built.

Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens responds to calls for a state investigation into Gov. Deal's office: "The only reasons to interject this office into the investigations at this point are political."

A DeKalb County cop recently admitted to having sexual contact with two woman during a shift. (Oh, and he served for three years without knowing the what the Miranda warning meant!)

The studio behind AMC's "The Walking Dead" has decided to build a 15-foot-tall wall around a neighborhood in the town of Senoia, Ga., where they're once again filming a new season of the show.

Some residents are ticked off about dozens of ATV and motorbike riders cruising through southwest Atlanta's streets at night. “They’re doing all types of stunts and just really creating terror in the community," District 12 City Council Woman Joyce Sheperd told WSB-TV. "A huge amount of noise."
