First Slice 8/10/14: Councilman's expenses, D.C. trip, raise some of those good old-fashioned 'questions'

Atlanta City Councilman Michael Julian Bond says he billed taxpayers $2,400 for a trip to Washington, D.C. to study a "heritage trail" and meet with public officials. While in the nation's capital, he also... attended a family reunion nearly every night he was in town [11 Alive autoplay warning]. In addition to those charges, 11 Alive's Catie Beck questioned Bond about buying special pins for his high-school classmates and "general math" tutoring.
