Help CL achieve immortality!

Or just local recognition. The Atlanta Press Club has been gathering what local journalists consider to be the best news stories over the past 50 years. The 30-entry shortlist is now out and includes some worthy pieces looking at the Atlanta Child Murders, the Atlanta Police cheating scandal, and corruption at the Atlanta Housing Authority. They're all here and worth a look.

Also on the list were several of CL's nominations for the honor. The panel of judges selected "Straight Outta Stankonia" and "Around the Clock at Waffle House."

You can cast your vote until Friday, Sept. 12. Winning stories will be announced during a "special event" at the Atlanta History Center on December 9. Help us live forever!
