First Slice 5-15-15: Group claims responsibility for putting naked man on Buckhead billboard

“Assange Shuffle Collective” posts confession on Reddit, says “Burn the rich,” plus more local and national news.

Mystery solved — sort of. A group has come forward claiming to be responsible for the pornographic photo that flashed across an electronic billboard in Buckhead last Saturday. Now investigators are trying to identify the “Assange Shuffle Collective,” who posted the anonymous confession on Reddit and added, “Burn the rich.”

Speaking of billboards, a new “don’t run” advertising campaign, intended to help Atlanta residents during police encounters, is on hold after raising concerns among City Council members.

Critics of the Atlanta Police say it’s time for the department to emerge from a “culture of secrecy.” City officials are still questioning why APD hasn’t released the footage of Alexia Christian’s officer-involved shooting.

Yesterday Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves sent a letter to Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens asking for an investigation of Keisha Lance Bottoms’ dual roles. (CL’s Editorial Board also published an Opinion column on the matter.)

Wednesday’s Game 5 was the most-watched game in Atlanta Hawks history. Can the team top it tonight when they play the Wizards once again?
