? Atlanta Police Officer Scott Perry was arrested at an Alpharetta hotel bar for allegedly attempting to kiss a man and his girlfriend and steal their food. Responding officers later found Perry, who was allegedly intoxicated, in one of the hotel rooms. “Fuck you, I’m a police officer,” Perry allegedly told officers. “I’ll have all your jobs.”

? Midtown resident Craig Gustafson thought the clamor of traffic from last weekend’s Music Midtown might stop Open Hand Atlanta from delivering his supper. But Sir Elton John knocked on his door that Friday evening to bring the man Open Hand Atlanta’s 25 millionth meal served.

? An apartment building and two businesses in Atlanta were evacuated Wednesday morning after a construction worker cut through a nearby gas main. The gas was shut off and neighboring Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead stayed operational throughout.

Someone keeps vandalizing a Cherokee County tea party group’s meeting signs and the organization is fed up. “When they damaged the big sign on Exit 8, that’s where they crossed the line,” says Conrad Quagliaroli, a tea party member. The group is offering $500 for information leading to the prosecution of the person responsible.
