Now on its second year, Deer Bear Wolf brings the Phoenix Festival to a new location with more vendors, artists, and entertainment on Sat., Oct. 24, from noon-10 p.m. The party has moved to the Wherehouse off Ormond Street, a new studio space for emerging artists. The one-day fest is free and features art from Romy Aura Maloon & Evan Neal, DBF’s Transgression, Meredith Kooi, Nick Madden, sQuishiepuss, Sean Fahie & FRKO and many more. Music guests include Book of Colors, Ruby Velle, Flamingo Shadow, Midnight Larks and music will be playing throughout the day along with Transgression readings in the outdoor and indoor stages. ? >> Stop by Blue Mark Studios on Fri., Oct. 23 for Ties That Bind, a new photography exhibition. Curated by local artist Sydney Daniel, the exhibition “poses the question of how a person is developed through family, heritage and personal history and how those life experiences inspire the need to create.” There’s an opening reception from 7-9 p.m.

? Spend the night with MINT at their EngageMINT Party on Sat., Oct. 24, at Mammal Gallery. The main event of the night will be the silent, anonymous auction featuring over 100 local and national artists. All proceeds from the bidding go to support MINT and local arts. Aside from the auction, the party boasts music, food and cocktails throughout the night. The night’s performances were curated by MINT’s own Brian Egan. Tickets are $25 in advance; $35 at the door. Party starts at 7 p.m.

? >> Atlanta Contemporary’s curator Daniel Fuller hosts a tour of the solo exhibitions currently at the museum on Sat., Oct. 24 from noon-1 p.m. Current exhibitions includes works from Aleksandra Domanović, Marlon Mullen, and John Riepenhoff. The curator tour is free to attend.
