“To be honest, I don’t think I actually cared that much for Buford Highway when this all started, which was, according to my Instagram, about 53 weeks ago. I actually just started it to expand the conversation beyond what was negative about Buford Highway. It’s dangerous, it’s dirty, it’s underdeveloped. And really, talk about what’s positive — the diversity and the food, of course — and use those as entry points.”

Marian Liou, founder of We Love Buhi, spoke at Creative Mornings on Fri., Feb. 26, about her organization and its mission. We Love Buhi is looking to promote the people behind all of the delicious food and celebrate the area’s diversity. Her talk is now available online for those who were unable to make it. Got a bike? Join Civil Bikes and We Love Buhi on Sat., April 2, on a tour of the strip, a discussion about pedestrian and bicycle safety, and of course, food. Get your tickets here.
