this was my first time to the star bar. loved the openers and was absolutely in love with y la bamba! star bar was the perfect intimate background for those first trip to Atlanta
in it to win it
OFF! is on Sept 28.
A hell of a show!Love the Magic Castles. Imaginary Friends has become my favorite song of the moment. BJM blew my mind.Beautiful melodies and enchanting lyrics.Anton Newcombe is a modern Syd Barrett esque genious and one of my greatest musical heroes. The setlist was outstanding. "Open Heart Surgery"was delivered with an intensity that conjured up emotions that I had forgotten I had. Its hard to pick a highlight when every moment of the show was like seeing Pink floyd in 1966 but for me it would be "You have been disconnected".It is such a well written song with the chorus of flutes on the accompanying mellotron. Anton was completely in control. He coaxed the band tirelessly through a set lasting over two hours. After that Anton was still gracious enough to sign autographs and take pictures with fans while talking with us like we were old school friends he hadnt seen in years.Good God how I love this band.
FYI, I believe this show was canceled. Dunes are playing at 529 with Ghetto Cross, etc.
Went to see Legally Blonde on weekend. Great show and a definite MUST SEE! Alison Brannon Wilhoit as Elle is outstanding, Paulette played by Mary Nye Bennett was awesome and Margo played by Elizabeth Neidel Wexler was tremendous. I have to say the entire cast is great right down to the ensemble actors but these three were my favorites.
I've seen Jarrod at Star Bar and he is hilarious!
Best Wednesday night attendance ever! Saw record crowd. The event is taking a hiatus to re-tool and will be back soon.

Absolutely terrible. Just went to a dj battle and there were two people in the entire club. Sure it was raining but it was a Friday night and only two people in the entire club. Also, the djs were absolutely terrible. They didn't even have turntables and one DJ did the battle with one CDJ. The sound was loud, unfortunately. Worst club ever!
FYI - Date has changed to November 3
Does anyone out there have an extra ticket I could buy for the Saturday night show? I was able to purchase one online, but not two. So I am one short... Can anyone help?? Last years concert was the best everrrrrrrrrr....!! Thanks!
It's the hottest place to Glow.. I mean go while the simmer cools down! Every Friday night!
Last time I went to The Atlanta Dance Marathon at the zoo, Part Time Weekends played. They were great! And who doesn't love Sweetwater beer!! I can't wait!

Re: “Ramin Karimloo”
I saw him in Love Never Dies, Les Mis, on the simulcast of Phantom 25 and in concert in London. He's a gifted actor, very personable, quite humble, fun and funny in concert, and aside from being exactly what he claims he's not- a wonderful musician. Go see him!
