I had the extreme pleasure of seeing The Blacktop Rockets several years ago (maybe 1993?) at The Star Bar in Little 5 Points. What an incredible sound for a trio! If you weren't that crazy about rockabilly before you saw them, you'd love it afterward. They put on quite a show and had everyone dancing. Thanks guys!

I have had many wonderful things happin in my life ,But nothing compares to the time I spent with Greg working for him. At the time I just knew him as a friend and some-what of a big brother. He would always tell me "Man, you need to get with that piano thing!" I played in a local band there in BlueRidge, Ga. I have many wonderful memories and some when we almost came to blows. All that seems like a life time ago. He taught me the fine atr of sanding and finnishing, What woods to look for, and never to say "OPPS!" in front of a customer while working on there guitar. What a class act. I hope with all my hart that there is room for that Boniville of his when I get to heaven. God I miss you.

Way back in 1995, I kept trying, and finally bought, an IEP that was hanging by itself way up on the wall of a music store here in Pittsburgh. The store sold it to me for about 1/2 the list price, so it was a steal for an instrument of such quality. I wrote Greg a letter to express my satisfaction with my new acquisition and, lo and behold, my phone rang a few weeks later with Greg himself on the other end. He thanked me for the letter and wanted to know how I had gotten it so cheap. He also wanted the details of the one problem I had with the output jack failing. He was a true craftsman.

I have heard this group perform on a number of ocassions at various Atlanta area venues. I must say that each performance was unique, soulful and thoroughly entertaining.

Although I didn't like her show, I am always elated to see any woman get it going again. Everyone deserves 2nd chances, but if I'm correct this is her 3rd. I don't personally don't like the direction that V103 is going and I don't live in Atlanta. I listen via the Net and see myself tuning out soon. I used to love Ryan's Show, but then they brought a lady named Rashon on and I'm ready to turn him off now. She beautiful and has a wonderful personality. I just think her and Ryan don't gel as well as Elle and Ryan. Elle with that bust it report crap! WTH is that?? The new sound bit for the traffic with Lil' Bankhead. Who is the friggin program director over there or who is pulling the strings. I work at a bank and it doesn't seem like a logical smart move. Oh, well. Guess I'll tune into WEDR-Miami all day now.

Greg UNDERSTOOD Basses and guitars! He Made a bass for me in the mid 80's in the bsement of Margaret's house after he closed MIDNIGHT MUSIC. The duplicate bass he built for me took him 24 hours to build. He took a year to build mine! He took the parts to Warmouth, when he went to the west coast; he came back and finished it. It took a while for Greg's idea's to gestate. It was always worth the wait. I always chided him for that! I still have the bass. He laminated it 25 years before he added the mahogany wings. He was a truly wonderful person; so fun to be around. ALWAYS humorous and had a great idea or joke or story to tell. I called him a couple of years before his passing. Just to touch bass and get him to sign my bass. i wouln't let him sign it because, back then he was using one of those silver ink pens. He always gave me grief about that and did again when I called. Since I moved from Atlanta in 1988, I didn't know he made the big time! I'm glad he did. He earned and deserved it! I MISS HIM!

I purchased a used Cort Curbow bass at a local music store for $150.00 and if this is ANYTHING close to the real thing, I am very pleased...electronics are quiet and very user friendly, the bass is very well balanced and it plays REALLY well after I got it home and tweaked the action and intonation. It sounds very natural even just plugged into a power amp and just using the on-board electronics. I will probably never get my hands on one of Mr. Curbow's original basses, but this one works for me...and I have played my share of name brand basses.

I had the pleasure of hearing ,Ms.Avery Sunshine,and I was blown away by her beautiful vocals. This was the first time.I had ever heard of this sister ,she a talent that is not to be missed. Thank you for blessing us with your God given talent.I will definitely buy your ablum.

I was at Center Stage in ATL Saturday 12/5/09. this was my 1st time hearing this Sister.....She was AWESOME...She did make it up behind the sound & lighting Crew. She embraced two sisters from Delaware. U keep on Doing what U'r doing Girl....I will be back. I was in ATL to Celebrate birthdays of Two Sisters very dear to me.

Steve Baskin's newest disc is "Naked" in name but covered in pop and rock references that catch your ear and please your soul. It dons a fetching combination of strong melodies, crisp vocals, accessible arrangements, and great guitar riffs, creating a smart ensemble that wears well on listeners.

Sorry to learn of Greg's demise. I went to Walker High School with him and he lived back through the woods across from my parent's house. At the time, I did not know he had a great interest in music. He was never an official member of the South Side Cedar Grove Salvation Army Marching Blues Band.
