Re: “Varuni Napoli piles on the charm and the toppings

Jennifer, if you are free this Saturday you should come on our Urban Explorers expedition. We do walking tours and Varuni Napoli is our lunch destination. This weeks tour starts in Piedmont Park and incudes a hike along future Beltline trail. Please give VN another chance...

Re: “Varuni Napoli piles on the charm and the toppings

The pizza at Varuni is very good. What is even better is the people that work there arent assholes like the ones that work at Antico - and there are some TRUE assholes at Antico, from the owner on down to the bottle washer and everyone in between

Re: “Varuni Napoli piles on the charm and the toppings

I thought the pizza was better than average but the noise level unbearable. I get wanting an "energetic" atmosphere but at the time all I wanted was earplugs.

"his pizzas feel Americanized instead of true to his Naples roots"

Do you guys review this place blindfolded?

Re: “Behind the scenes at Krog Street Market

I wish, rather than being most concerned about parking, that they'd mentioned the prospect iof revolutionizing that idea, this development being so suited to customers wanting to bike and walk there. That's the whole point if being on the Beltline. The mantra of "this is Atlanta, so it's all about driving" is old.

Re: “Quick Bites: Urban Pl8 shutters, Ah-Ma's Taiwanese Kitchen opens, and more

Beltline Kroger (they've earned the name change, even though -- as one of their customers -- I thought "Murder Kroger" spoke better to the edginess of Atlanta's intown culture) also deserves a tip of the hat for clearing a detour path to the Beltline as their permanent connection is under construction.

Re: “Grazing: New and cheap

If you like spicy, get the Gunn Slinger at Delia's: chorizo chicken sausage, guacamole, salsa, fresh jalapenos, “comeback” sauce. It's a really nice combo; the guac makes it creamy and cool over the spicy chorizo (lots of pepper) and the fresh jalepenos.

My favorite at Delia's, along with the grinder and Italian Stallion. Plus, the Cake Shakes, of course! (I get one almost every week...)

Re: “First Look: Polaris

Went to Polaris a couple weeks back and absolutely loved it. They absolutely nailed the retro jet set atmosphere while still remaining modern, and the drinks and food were delicious. I will be going again soon.

Re: “Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder at Kimball House

Why so vexed about raising your arm? Waiters are human, not perfect robots, and if there's connection between you and your server, what's wrong with being helpful at the appropriate moment.

Re: “Ethnic.city: Mamajuana Restaurant and Lounge

It's a great restaurant and this article really described Mamajuana's menu, I recommend to everyone who like Caribbean food.

A $10.00 mistake is tough on anybody, especially a 16 year old boy.

Re: “Quick Bites: Spice to Table, Cupcake Mafia & Boutique now open, changes at Parish, and more

Kate - this is Michael, the owner of Ladybird. I appreciate the coverage and wanted to note that we are doing our best to open before the end of August but do not have a hard opening date that we can disclose just yet because we are still waiting on the city to process a few things. Consequently, we will not be open this week and I want to make sure that your readers know this. The second we have a hard opening date, we will relay this info far and wide. Thanks again!
