Cafe Jonah and the Magical Attic

Jennifer Levinson of Souper Jenny's new cafe promises as much whimsy as its name suggests. It's named after her son and is a quite unusual spot. It's located in the cottage most recently occupied by Full Cup Bakery. Levison has turned it into a sunny, brightly painted cafe inspired by Euro-style coffeehouses. It offers a limited breakfast-and-lunch menu and pastries from the city's best bakeries, such as Highland Bakery and Holeman & Finch. So what's upstairs in the magical attic? The upstairs is a space for new age-style spiritual practices and merchandise and hosts meditation classes, psychic fairs and astrologers.
Cookie Studio

It can be hard to find a cookie that lives up to the nostalgic memories of the ones popped fresh out of dear ol' Mom's oven. Luckily for us, the Cookie Studio has set up shop in the heart of Decatur and is churning out extra-large spheres of yummy baked goodness. With one taste of the “breakfast cookie” -- made with granola, oatmeal, coconut, cranberry and pecans -- we thought we had died and woken up in cookie heaven. So the next time you can't seem to fight the sweet-tooth urge, head over to this philanthropic (a portion of sales go to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children) shop and stock up on the next best thing to Mama's own.
