Barkers Red Hots

Tools

Barkers has been bringing flavorful, charcoal-grilled love to Atlanta for nearly 30 years. Part of the secret to these red hots are the German-style Sahlen's dogs, a superb pork and beef combo in a natural casing that's less greasy and spicy than a typical kosher dog. Barkers gives them a nice char and a smoke-stained crunch on the outside; you choose the toppings to make it your own. Our favorite combination is the slightly sweet slaw and Hot Texan sauce with crispy onions and pickles.

The Marietta location of this casual hot dog stand — and there's also a location in Tennessee — serves a modest selection of straight forward hotdogs with traditional toppings. Expect items like slaw dogs and chili dogs, plus ice cream and fried pies for dessert.

Its menu changes depending on the availability of such produce, and has been named by Southern Living as one of the top 100 brunch places in the US. It's a casual southern brunch spot with wooden chair and tables and white linens. Great for the family.
