Embrace your inner kung fu master at this long-running school, with its bigger digs in Kirkwood. The instructors take it seriously, and will expect you to as well. The Lion Dance performances may look lighthearted, but the 1,500-year-old martial art forms taught here by Gary Mitchell and crew -- including traditional kung fu, tai chi and self-defense techniques -- are a true exercise in discipline and strength.
Chrome Yellow Trading Co.

Kyle and Kelly Taylor run the combination boutique and cafe, serving up Stumptown Coffee. Besides men's and women's clothing, the shop carries gift items, including candles, and skin care products.

The sign says "Couture Inspirations," but the focus of this Kirkwood Station store is actually outfitting the woman with curves. Sizes 12-24 are the specialty, along with styling help and accessories.
