Since opening its doors in 1929, Atlanta Ballet has stood as one the most prominent dance companies in the entire country. From original works to adding their spin on storied classics, Atlanta Ballet's performances are a definite not-miss, no matter the stage location. The Michael C. Carlos Dance Centre is Atlanta Ballet's headquarters. It houses five state-of-the-art dance studios, a student library, and a physical therapy room. Atlanta Ballet performs regularly at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and Fox Theatre.

The Eastside Trail provides a direct route from Midtown to Inman Park/Old Fourth Ward in minutes, a feat unheard of by car in Atlanta. With the opening of the Northside Trail in April 2010, the neighborhoods around Collier Hills are now linked by a continuous mile-long trail. The updated trail traverses the Howard Property, “Cathedral Woods,” and Bobby Jones Golf Course, from Ardmore Park to Atlanta Memorial Park through Tanyard Creek Park.

At 358 feet long, the Cyclorama claims to be the largest oil painting in the world — and the longest-running art exhibition in U.S. history. The in-the-round battle-scape depicting the 1864 Battle of Atlanta has been on display since 1893 and is housed in a Greek revival-style building next to the zoo. Guided tours every hour on the half hour. The Cyclorama is projected to close at its current location June 30, 2015, in preparation for moving.
