For more than 50 years, Amalia Hernández has presented Mexican folklore to the rest of the world. Her celebrated dance company, BALLET FOLKLÓRICO DE MÉXICO, shows off its culture's choreographic traditions during a one-night-only stop on its U.S. tour. The company's 75 musicians and dancers will perform colorful representations of a customary seasonal celebration from various regions of Mexico with bright, traditional costumes that fly as the dancers twirl and float around the stage. Hernández mixes in choreography inspired by classical and modern dance, which adds updated flair. $20-$38. 8 p.m. Ferst Center for the Arts, 349 Ferst Drive. 404-894-9600. www.ferstcenter.org.
