Theater: Avenue Q

Tues.-Sun., May 18-23

The Broadway Across America series puts its hand back inside the puppet head with a return trip to AVENUE Q, a "Sesame Street" parody from Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. The 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Avenue Q presents a group of twentysomething men, women and fuzzy monsters as they grapple with grown-up responsibilities in the big city. Tunes include "The Internet Is for Porn," "Everybody's a Little Bit Racist" and "It Sucks to Be Me." But will the jokes about Gary Coleman still hold up? $15-$63. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 1 and 6:30 p.m. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway. 800-982-2787. www.ticketmaster.com.
