Theater: Griefers

Fri., Feb. 5

The great thing about the Internet is that it connects users with a huge diversity of people. That's also the worst thing. Dad's Garage Theatre's new play GRIEFERS takes its name from the phenomenon of "players in a multiplayer video game that purposely irritate and harass other players, rather than completing the game's objectives" (according to Wikipedia). Writers/directors Christian Danley and Randy Havens present a profane comedy in which a griefer grapples with such concepts as life, death and failed relationships. Matt Stanton, Alison Hastings and Jeffrey Zwartjes star alongside Danley and Havens in this world premiere at Dad's Garage Top Shelf space. Through Feb. 27. $13-$20. Feb. 4, 8 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 8 p.m. 280 Elizabeth St. 404-523-3141.
