Theater: MacHomer

Wed., Aug. 26

Macbeth may be a serious tragedy about regicide, but in the hands of Rick Miller, it becomes the laughable MACHOMER. Created and performed by Miller, MacHomer features 50 "Simpsons" voices, including Marge as Lady Macbeth and C. Montgomery Burns as the king. Even with the voices coming from a modern-day cartoon, the play still possesses 85 percent of Shakespeare's original script in the 70-minute performance. Miller has created a to-die-for crossover of two completely different but legendary tales. Through Aug. 30. $15-$50. Wed.-Fri., 7:30 p.m.; Sat., 7:30 and 10 p.m.; Sun., 2 p.m.; post-show brew party Aug. 28, 9 p.m. Georgia Shakespeare, 4484 Peachtree Road. 404-264-0020. www.gashakespeare.org. Read a Q&A with Rick Miller.
