Visual art: Grow

Sat., March 13

Though ignored by Eurocentric history, the Aztecs' rich culture extended far into the art world. In a similar fashion, eccentric artistic collaborators Plastic Aztecs open their new exhibit, GROW, at Beep Beep Gallery. Grow represents many things for Erin Basset, Becky Furey, Andrea Sanders and Dorothy Stucki, the foursome behind the Plastic Aztecs moniker. The work nods to physical growth, like vegetation, but also to the growth of creativity in people and the literal growth of the Atlanta-based collective, which has doubled in size since 2008. Through April 4. Free. Opening reception March 13, 8 p.m.; Fri.-Sun., noon-6 p.m. 696 Charles Allen Drive. 404-429-3320. www.beepbeepgallery.com.
