Pangaea expanding

I lunched recently at Pangaea (1082 Huff Road, 404-350-8787). This global sandwich shop is expanding to Decatur (2752 E. Ponce de Leon Ave.) soon. My favorite here is everyone else's favorite, too: the Vietnamese banh mi stuffed with shrimp and veggies (shown at right). I also sampled the hummus, which was not bad but doesn't compare to my favorite at Olive Bistro.

My lunch companion ordered a tuna salad panini, which he found "spectacular." It featured grilled tuna, capers and olives. When tuna salad comes across as spectacular, it's gotta be good.

Watermelon-flavored lemonade was a nice last taste of summer.

Thanks for the tip Cliff! The Decatur news blogs are humming with the news. Seems like renovations are already underway. This is a very interesting development for Decatur, since this is the first really "trendy" place to go in over on the east, more industrial side of the city. Sounds like its right up Pangaea's alley based on their flagship's location.
