(3011 Paces Mill Road, 770-438-2282) has a new menu and its interior has been gussied up by new owners. I lunched there with a friend and we were two of only four male diners in the entire restaurant. The place is kind of a ladies-who-lunch spot and you should carry more than your average cash. Our lunch -- one starter, two entrees and one dessert -- was more than $70.

The new menu features mainly tried-and-true dishes -- nothing too "weird" for those Buckhead ladies -- but it's all well done by chef Victor Amato. The shrimp and grits (top photo) with andouille sausage was especially good. Another entree featured grilled salmon over spicy collards and cheddar-jalapeño grits.

We shared the crunchy-sweet cobbler with better-than-average peaches (above) for dessert.

Honestly, if it's been a while since you dined here, give it a try. Its quaint ambiance is especially appropriate during the holiday season.
