Gossip / Restaurants Village Pizza deal falls through

We reported recently about the closing of Village Pizza in Cabbagetown. It was expected that the owner of Ria's Bluebird would take over the space for a new venue. Sources tell me the deal fell through but that the owner of Carroll Street Cafe (and Apres Diem), Andy Alibaksh, has bought the building.
