Village Pizza on Carroll Street in Cabbagetown has indeed reopened. We paid a visit over the weekend and found the place only slightly changed. New owner Andy Alibaksh (Carroll Street Cafe, Apres Diem) is installing his signature style with some fresh paint and some very cool black and white photography. More interior changes are on the way.

The staff is great, very friendly and easy on the eyes, as at most of Alibaksh's restaurants.

We shared this pesto pizza (Scott Henry's favorite) and side Caesar salads. Both were satisfying.
