Yay! Dessert in a shot glass! I read somewhere this morning that bite-sized desserts are the number-one trend in restaurant menus these days. Above are some of the dessert nibbles available at Seasons 52.
Brad and I lunched at their Buckhead location today. I reviewed the restaurant a year ago, when I expressed amazement that this is part of a chain operated by the same people who run Olive Garden and Red Lobster. The difference here is that (a) the food is quite good and (b) nothing on the menu has over 475 calories.
Brad and I both ordered the huge shrimp salad, loaded with shrimp and fresh greens, as well as some garbanzo beans, bits of feta cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. You will not find a better shrimp salad in the city. It's hard for me to believe it was really under 475 calories. But don't disillusion me. I believe in the integrity and health-consciousness of restaurant chains.
I ordered the pecan pie shot-glass, under 300 calories, according to the server. I wanted a second.
The only thing I dislike about going to this restaurant is the parking. It's valet parking but there always seems to be a lengthy line of people waiting for their cars.
