As I mentioned earlier, I dined at the new Holeman and Finch this week. I'll share some pics later; my review will be out next week.
Meanwhile, there's other stuff to report about the new gastro-pub. First, it's become a laboratory for the Coca-Cola Company. Phil Mooney, historian at Coke, reports this in his blog, "Coca-Cola Conversations":
My team and I have been working with our Marketing colleagues and a new restaurant that opens today in Atlanta â called Holeman and Finch Public House â to help them serve the perfect Coca-Cola to guests.Coke looked at this idea decades ago, of course, and we've always known there was an ideal temperature and other environmental factors that helped a Coke taste best. We shared this with the Holeman and Finch team, and realized that each person has his or her own perfect serve of Coca-Cola. Do you like shaved ice or crushed ice? Do you want ice at all or just the ice-cold glass and Coke? Do you want to add a touch of lime or even ginger to your Coke?
At the new Public House restaurant, guests will get a unique experience of the Perfect Serve. See more in this video â my first video appearance on my blog!
Yes, there's a video all about Coke's teaming up with Holeman and Finch. It's almost weird. See it on Mooney's blog here.
In other news from Holeman and Finch, the pub's owners have teamed up with Eli Kikov to create H&F Bread Company. The shop, located in the Aramore with Restaurant Eugene and Holeman and Finch, will open to the public later this summer. The bakery will feature breads and pastries made only from organic ingredients. Trans fats have been banned.
You'll be able to eat a croissant and sip some homemade juice on the premises, where WiFi will be provided.
