She didn't take first place, but our hometown Hooters girl, Nesle Dagis (right), was second runner-up in the Miss Hooters International pageant in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., last week.
Nesle, representing downtown Atlanta, was one of 128 Hooters girls from 446 Hooters restaurants worldwide. Ms. Dagis won $10,000.
The winner was the coincidentally named Sara Hoots of Selma, Tx. She received $50,000. According to publicity material:
Along with the cash and crown Sara Hoots also brings home the responsibility to represent the concept as the quintessential Hooters Girl the cheerleader, girl next door.
