Brad writes to ask:
Have you heard anything about the remodeling activity at the former Pie Bar location? I saw a for lease sign up just before they started, so I wonder if it is not Concentrics venture.
We called Concentrics to ask, and they said they are no longer involved with the location and don't know who has leased it. Anyone else have any info?

The last time I drove past, they had painted the exterior details blue and brown. Looks like the mystery will be revealed shortly? Also, just around the corner from the old Pie Bar location, the Midtown Cafe is up for lease AGAIN; twice in 18 months. Bring back the diner!
Meredith Ford from the AJC mentioned in Thursday\\\'s pull-out thingy that it\\\'s being turned into a tapas bar. Because we all know that Atlanta is sorely lacking in those.
It is scheduled to become EROS TAPAS BAR & LOUNGE.
that's all we need is another friggin tapas bar. 6 months tops.
From what I hear....A former chef/manager from the Atlanta Fish Market is opening the former Pie Bar as a Tapas Restaurant. I also hear he's already planning on pour some really exciting spirits like Van Gogh Vodka because he's being payed off by their distributor....but I thought that kind of payola is illegal in our great state....who knows?
This was in Meredith Fords Table Talk on 7/24: Concentrics Piebar will soon have a new name and concept to go with the fresh paint job Nikita Parlos has leased the space and is scheduled to reopen the former Trust Company Bank space, designed by Henri Jova in 1962, this fall. The new name? Eros Tapas Bar.
