Events Krystal Square Off: World Hamburger Eating Championship at Lenox Mall

Pro-chompers, including Pat Bertoletti from Chicago (ranked second in the International Federation of Competitive Eating ) gather at Lenox Square Mall tomorrow at 2 p.m., competing for a seat in the World Hamburger Eating Championship. The winner will travel to the world finals, chewing against Joey Chestnut (holding the record for 103 Krystal burgers in 8 minutes) and six others. With $50,000 dollars on the line, five local amateurs will be selected before the contest and given a chance to eat in the local qualifying event.
