Get the burger

Zuffy's Place, the reincarnation of Fuzzy's Place, is now open on Buford Highway. I lunched there last week on this utterly bizarre version of jambalaya.

The rice was mushy, the sausage tasted cheap and, worst of all, the chicken had been soaked in so much garlic that human companionship was impossible after eating half the plate.

Zuffy's, like Fuzzy's, is a popular place to hear local bands, which is cool. But I do not remember the Cajun food at Fuzzy's, whose menu was developed by the late Joe Dale, tasting like this.

Maybe it's an acquired taste. If you don't want to risk it, order a hamburger, which Wayne found acceptable. And there's always booze, lots of it.
