Social restaurant and wine bar open downtown

A few weeks back I went to eat at French American Brasserie and parked around the corner on West Peachtree Place. As I walked back to my car I noticed a sign in one of the storefronts that said "Social Restaurant". It wasn't yet open, but this weekend I went back and discovered a very cool, funky spot in a truly strange location.

Owned by the brothers who also own Fina in downtown College Park, Social draws on the brothers' Mediterranean upbringing with small plates, cheeses, charcuterie and a few entrees. Pastry chef Taria Camerino (who was working with Top Flr but is now the new pastry chef at Holeman & Finch) will be helping out with desserts in the upcoming weeks. The feel actually reminds me a smidge of Top Flr, but it's more elegant and slick.

We'll have formal coverage in the paper in upcoming weeks, but it's worth checking out now.

Love this place! Excellent all across the board. A fabulous medrterannian spot for those that love to hangout. The food is unique and is always a surprise and my taste buds go crazy. The service is impecable. Wonderful wine selections and exotic beers. Hand picked entertainment that feels like you are on a European vacation. I LOVE this place ,I bring my friends here to relax and unwind.

Just what Tracy said. Food, service, venue, all fantastic. I just went for the first time last weekend, and I can't wait to go again.
