Move over, Ghetto Burger

Ever since David Cash wrote to tell me about the brisket burger at Fox Bros.-Bar-B-Q, I've been craving it. Last night, after 30 minutes of cardio at the gym, I rushed to the restaurant and ordered one, which I devoured at the bar along with some tater tots. I think this is called neutralizing the benefits of cardiovascular exercise.

The thing was incredible. I'm overly fond of brisket, but the jalapeno mayo, the bacon and the melted pimento cheese added to the usual irrresistibility. It was a gigantic serving that put me in an altered state -- similar to the way the Ghetto Burger at Ann's Snack Bar makes me nearly comatose.

You gotta try it.

I think you are deluding yourself in thinking that 30 minutes of cardio might neutralize this. Maybe 300... Still, that looks real good. I am going to eat me one of them.

no, they call it the Fox Bros "Burger" it is a play on a hamburger. And a great play at that! Fox Bros got knocked here pretty hard when they opened, but they have really settled into being a true dining destination in Atlanta!

Oh, thank God. I was terrified of the possibility.

sure, you could call it a brisket sandwich But that's boring and the Fox Bros Burger is NOT boring

as someone that writes reviews on BBQ restaurants, Fox Brothers is blowing away some of he older traditional Atlanta bbq restaurants with products like the Fox Bros “Burger”, the brisket taquitos and the Saturday night Short ribs (see blog below)....Keep it up guys...you are raising the bar for the competition. http://mybbqblog.com/?p=29

Had one yesterday. Wow - blown away by this thing. Great with the fried okra. Can't wait to have another one. Keep it up, my (Fox) bruthas!
