We visited the brand-new Social Vinings Sunday night. This is the latest project of legendary Atlanta chef Paul Albrecht (the "Paul" in Pano's and Paul's) and his son Patrick.

The space, in the Vinings Main development, is huge, and includes a bar with its own menu of small plates. The dining room menu features moderately priced dishes like sauteed calf's liver with onions and bacon (above) and saltimbocca made with chicken and a very heavy dose of sage.

In case you need to add a few zillion calories to your meal, try this "chocolate spasm." ("Spasm," not "orgasm.") It's a take on Rocky Road ice cream over a gooey chocolate brownie.

Our visit was on the third day of business and everything seemed to be running surprisingly smoothly.

Look for more in my next "Grazing" column.
