Lucero of Zocalo lands a new job

This email from Lucero Martinez-Obregon of Zocalo is cool:

I've been living in NYC for the past month! Yes, believe it or not, I finally left my almost native ATL!  An incredible opportunity came up that I couldn't pass. I am working for my favorite chef, Ricardo Sandoval, a native of Mexico City whose modern cuisine is amazing! Check him out at www.modernmexican.com.

I'm presently working at Pampano, originally Placido Domingo's restaurant, which apparently didn't do very well. Since he and Chef Sandoval are good friends and now partners, he invited Chef Sandoval to take over the space and it's been Pampano for around seven years now. Mostly coastal Mexican food, but super-modern. The chef d'cuisine now is Adan Trinidad who was a diciple of Jose Garces, the new "Iron Chef." So it's all good; I'm loving it and learning MUCHO!!!
