Carlo Petrini and Researchers Speak, Feb. 22. The founder of Slow Food International will be discussing food, pleasure, and the family meal in room 102 at the Emory University’s Center for Ethics located at 1531 Dickey Drive. The talk will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a book signing to follow.The event is free and open to everyone.

Doc Chey’s Chinese New Year Party, Feb. 27. Two dollars from the sale of each Lucky New Year Sampler will be donated to Zoo Atlanta’s Sumatran Tiger exhibit renovation. Wildfire’s Sweet Cooking Class, Feb. 27. This class for kids will teach them about what is inside a cookie and how to decorate them. Each child will receive snacks, juice, and a goodie bag to take home. All proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. Tickets are $10 this includes one adult and up to two children.
