A favorite nosh

olive bistro eggplant

This is one of my favorite noshes in Atlanta -- the roasted eggplant at Olive Bistro. Owner Steve Masri roasts it with crushed red pepper, olive oil and the usual garlic that pervades his cooking.  It's served cold with tahini. It's cold. It's creamy. It's spicy. It's earthy.

Besides the location at 650 Ponce de Leon Ave. (404-874-5336), Masri also operates a relatively new Olive Bistro in Vinings at 2320 Cobb Pkwy. (770-272-8900). Also try the hummus, the city's best, when you visit.
