Atlanta food events for the work week, March 22-26

Morton’s Steakhouse hosts a Glenlivet Scotch Tasting, March 22. The tasting will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and a Glenlivet Ambassador will be on hand teaching guest how to best enjoy the Scotch.  The whiskies will be paired with selections from Morton's classic hors d'oeuvres menu. The cost for this event is $49 per person, which includes tax and gratuity.  Call 404-577-4366 for reservations.

Repast Restaurant Week, March 22-28. Repast will offer a 3-course Prix Fixe menu priced at $30 per person with a $30 Wine List. In addition, the 30th guest to make a reservation for Repast Restaurant Week each night will win dinner for two at Repast. For more information call 404-870-8707.

Ray’s on the River’s Peirson Meyer and L’Angevin Wine Dinner, March 23. Executive Chef Tom McEachern is making a four course meal that will be paired with different Peirson Meyer wines and L’Angevin wines, and Robbie Meyer, winemaker and co-proprietor of the two California wineries, will be in attendance to speak with guests.  Cost of this wine dinner is $125 per person excluding tax and gratuity. Dinner will start at 6:30 p.m.  Seating is limited, and guests should call 770-955-1187 to make reservations.

Mexican Passover Festival at Rosa Mexicano March 24 – April 5. Rosa Mexicano will have special menu items celebrating the holiday. On March 27th at 10 a.m., Chef Joyce Brandes will also host a cooking demonstration at Rosa Mexicano Atlantic Station where guests can learn how to make the featured recipes. Thomas Keller book signing at Williams Sonoma Lenox Square, March 24. At 1 p.m. he will begin signing his new book Ad Hoc at Home. He will only be signing books purchased at Williams Sonoma. Proof of purchase is required. For more information call 404-812-1703.

Pura Vida Tapas & Bar “heart and balls!” Anniversary Party, March 25. Chef Santiago will host the party, and will provide tastings of menus from the past nine years, as well as some from the upcoming spring menu. Kuroshio’s Sake Tasting, March 25. Koji, Certified Sake Master, will be hosting the event at 6:30pm.. Participants will have the opportunity to sample the premium sakes presented as well as learning about the process of fermenting sake, and much more. Atlanta’s Street Food Coalition’s Atlanta's Urban Picnic, March 26. Guests will be able to sample food from local chefs and learn about they can help make street food happen in Atlanta. The meal will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

Oxford American's Southern Food Issue Seminar & Luncheon, March 26. Discussion about Southern food and Southern wine culture. Featuring food and wine critic John Kessler, chefs Duane Nutter and Todd Richards of One Flew South, Florencia Palmaz of Palmaz Vineyards, and music by Caroline Herring. The event will take place at the Cook's Warehouse, in Ansley Mall and tickets are $100 a person. Oxford American Southern Food Issue Dinner, March 26.Featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey, chef Shane Touhy, winemaker Tuck Beckstoffer, and others. The dinner will be hosted by Dogwood Restaurant and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Suggested tax-deductible donation: $500 a person or $1,000 a couple Proceeds benefit The Oxford American Literary Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
