Tuesday food links: 'Life on the Midtown Mile,' Peachtree Road Farmer's Market pictures, and Yelp and OpenTable to sync up

Atlanta Dish hypes the "Experience Life on the Midtown Mile" event from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, where guests can view the skyline from the 1010 Midtown building and eat food from South City Kitchen, Marlow's Tavern, and RA Sushi. Buy tickets for $10 and help support the Piedmont Park Conservancy.

Eat It, Atlanta posted some great pictures of the Peachtree Road Farmers Market, which is currently embroiled in a complicated clash over permitting fees. He mentions H&F Bread Co., where Jennifer Zyman recently found some remarkable hot dog buns.

Slashfood and the New York Times report that Yelp, the popular website for reviewing and rating restaurants, and OpenTable, the standard site for making online reservations, are syncing up so that you can make a reservation directly through your Yelp account.

From Eater: Burger King's creepy new ad for their $8.99 ribs, which uses the always questionable technique of selling pork by showing pigs. But the Village Voice asks, can't you buy better ribs for that kind of money?

The Atlantic wants food marketers to learn from BP's mistakes in dealing with the oil spill.
