Who's for sale?

A friend was raving to me about his recent brunch at the Social House on the West Side. It's owned by the same folks who opened Rare and Harlem Bar.

I knew that Harlem Bar had closed recently and discovered, while browsing the Shumacher Restaurant Group's website, that the Social House is for sale. I hope Rare's going to stick around.

If you want a moment of depression, check out the Shumacher site to see how many restaurants are for sale or lease in town. A few, like Zaya, are identified, but mainly it's a guessing game.

What restaurant could this be? "This famous and critically acclaimed Midtown Atlanta upscale casual hi energy chef driven restaurant is available for lease.."

Can you identify the restaurant pictured at right? It's in Midtown and is described this way:

Restaurant and Club with incredible Peachtree Road visibility with parking for almost 100 cars. 5,000/sf multi-level fully equipped space with 500/sf outdoor patio. Seating for over a 100. Club venue handles 140. Patio has 50 seats. Fully equipped with hi tech POS system. State of the art sound system cost $50,000.

What about this 20-year-old lunch and breakfast spot in Virginia-Highland? This side-by-side pair in Midtown is a pretty easy guess.

There are many more on the Shumacher site. I'm not sure how up-to-date all of the listings are. For example, it lists Mama Fu's for sale and open, but the Peachtree Road restaurant across from Piedmont Hospital has closed.
