The new Grilled Cheese Burger Melt has 1,500 calories, 79 grams of fat, 2090mg of sodium and 101 grams of carbs. Says the chain's website: "This is the BurgerMelt to end all BurgerMelts. We place a thick and juicy 100% Black Angus Big Beef Burger between two whole grilled cheese sandwiches, complete with lettuce, tomato and mayo. You'll have to taste it to believe it."
It actually sounds better than the burger between two Krispy Kreme donuts that I ate at the Burger Club in Vinings.
Happily, there is no Friendly's in Atlanta. But you can probably find something local and similarly unhealthy among the Daily Beast's slideshow of "40 Burgers That Can Kill You."
