Bastille Day events

Bonne Fête Nationale! (I hope I didn't get that wrong!) Bastille Day is the French national holiday celebrating the storming of the Bastille prison, seen as a symbol of creating the modern French nation during the French Revolution. French restaurants all around Atlanta are celebrating Bastille Day with food and drink specials.

French American Brasserie celebrates Bastille Day with a dinner party including the full menu (because, as they say, a celebration should not be limited). 30 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. 404-266-1440. www.fabatlanta.com.

Social: Bastille Day celebration includes grilled lamb sausage and a free glass of rosé with dinner for all guests. 12 West Peachtree Place. 404-525-2246. www.socialintown.com.

Anis: Special three-course menu, $38 per person, includes harissa shrimp, wild mushroom and candied garlic flatbread, chilled asparagus soup, steak, swordfish au poivre and a Georgia peach crisp.
