Buford Highway Farmers Market, Tues., Aug. 24: Chinese Southern Belles cooking class focuses on a wide variety of rice dishes made with all kinds of rice. Soho, Weds., Aug. 25: Flight Night spotlights the wines of California, featuring three wines, three paired tapas plates and a complimentary cheese plate. Atlanta Food Rave, Fri., Aug. 27: Five Atlanta chefs will offer samples of their cuisine. Menu is secret until day of event. Guests can vote for their favorite chef to win the 2010 Rave Review. Cocktails and live entertainment also provided. Portion of proceeds will be donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Morningside Summer Block Party, Sat., Aug. 28: Inaugural block party features DBA Barbecue, El Taco and Ma Li Thai with beer and cocktails. Plus, live music and a kids area.
