Breakfast at Empire State South

I just tried breakfast at Empire State South and enjoyed it thoroughly. A warning: Don't believe what you read on the restaurant's website. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m., not 11 a.m., as the site says.

I had a biscuit with "peabacon," something like Canadian bacon that is rolled in peas, a scrambled egg and hominy grits so creamy and tasty that I'm going to end up with a constant craving.

I asked my server about Nick Melvin, chef de cuisine, who announced he's leaving the restaurant after only a few weeks. He is still cooking there, it turns out, and won't leave for two weeks.

Help! You don't see a picture of my breakfast because I managed to lose my camera between the restaurant and Starbucks. If you have suggestions for a digital SLR that doesn't cost a zillion dollars, please let me know.
